Florida Space Exploration Monument

A design that pays tribute to all the people of Florida who have been, are, and will be, involved at all levels in the unprecedented success of our country’s space exploration adventure.

The overall height of the monumental sculpture is 50 feet, in reference to the Cape’s first rocket launch in 1950. The polished black granite and stainless steel beckon and welcome everyone to see themselves reflected in the surface, their own faces and those of the friends and families literally becoming a part of the art itself.
